French instructors of big wall climbing come to Iran

Ladislau Fucsko, Hubert Giot and Philippe Pelle three French instructors of GHM are coming to Iran on October 29, due to invitation of Alpine Club of Iran. According to schedule, they are going to hold an advance big wall climbing course, which has been organized by Alpine Club of Iran and cooperation of Mountaineering Federation of Iran over Polekhab wall close to Karaj-Chalous road. Eighteen Iranian experienced climbers participate in the course, whom designated by several tests during past few months.

10 Iranian climbers go for 2^nd Asian Indoor climbing championship Macau-2007

Asian Indoor climbing championship Macau2007 According to Iran Mountaineering federation, 10 sport climbers participate in indoor climbing competition of 2^nd Asian indoor games in Macau-2007, where the climbing competition will start on 29^th October. Iranian national climbing team, which left Tehran on Thursday 25^th October 2007 included: Mohammad Jafari, Reza Pilpa, Sobhan jafari, Gholamali Baratzadeh, Mehdi Namarvari, Hamid reza Tozandehjani in men’s category and Bahareh Moradi, Farnaz Esmaeelzadeh, Elnaz Rekabi, Azam Karami in women’s category.
Eghbal Aflaki (leadership), Naser Sarvar masooleh(Head coach) and Alireza Bagheri(coach) accompany them during this event.

Kazem Faridian reports his successful ascent of K2

Kazem Faridian the first Iranian climber, who reached the peak K2 in 2007, will give a presentation concerning his successful attempt on this mountain. K2 (8611 meters) is the second highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest, on the border between Kashmir and China. The presentation starts at 5:00pm on Wednesday Oct 31, 2007 and is open to public. Kazem will describe his challenging attempt in one of the most dangerous Himalayan mountains by pictures, movie and the particular report.
