Introcuction

Iran Mountain Zone (IMZ) is the first Encyclopedia of Iran's Mountains, created as an online database available on World Wide Web. The Web site has gone online since the summer of 2002 in English and Persian (Farsi).
Iran Mountain Zone is an independent organization and does not have any affiliation to any club, institution, or organization. The contents of this encyclopedia are collected by a group of volunteers from Iran's mountaineering community, and also researchers who work in the field of Iran's mountains.
